No one bothered to take merchant ships – hell, there weren’t even any merchant ships to be looted, conquered, commandeered – and it was in this thought the proud ship now sailed, an old English caravel under a Spanish flag. The captain stood at the bow, a grin dedicatedly stayed on his visage; one hand rested on his hip while the other held a spyglass loosely, tightened as it was brought up to the amber eye to enhance vision.
